Dupil Collective Fundraisers 2023-2024

Dupil Collective are heading to the Philippines in March 2024 for a whole month, and are looking for community support for transportation. They both have ancestry there and are also going for different reasons. Felix (he/him) has never visited the land of his Ancestors and is being called to return and deepen his spiritual practice. Lukayo (they/them) was born there and is being asked by their relatives to return and receive some spiritual/traditional healing for their chronic illnesses. The round-trip tickets from Toronto to Manila are $2,300 CAD each and were bought with a loan. These fundraisers hope to pay back the loan. The extra $400 CAD would be used for round-trip transportation from Ottawa to Toronto, and any other travel we may need to do in the Philippines, like from Manila to Legaspi City.

To get tickets for any of our fundraisers, you must either a) fill out a registration form, or b) send a message to dupilcollective at gmail.com and indicate which fundraiser(s) you'd like to get tickets for. You can also just donate to our GoFundMe if you aren't interested in the raffle or can't attend the events.

Fundraiser Concerts

  • Felix and Lukayo play folk punk and performance poetry.

  • Venue: Origin Arts Studio & Community Centre (57 Lyndale Ave).

  • Fall Concert: Friday October 13, doors open at 6:30pm.

  • Winter Concert: Friday January 12, doors open at 6:30pm.

Raffle

  • Raffle ends midnight on Friday, March 1st, 2024, which is when we will draw the winner. If your name is drawn, you will be contacted that day and win the following prizes:

  • A file of a song recording of a cover of your choice done by Felix.

  • Custom pendulum or necklace done by Felix.

  • Pocket altar done by Felix and Lukayo.

  • Ghouly Woolie (felted ghost) done by Felix.

  • Pins with lines from Lukayo's poems (you may choose which poem).

  • Scratch-off fortunes done by Felix and Lukayo.
